Did you know: The motto of the American people "In God We Trust" was not adopted as a national slogan until 1956.

4th of July

The fourth of July means different things to different people. For some, it's a time to remember all the men and women whose courage allowed us to enjoy our freedom. For others, it's just one more reason to celebrate ... which means another excuse to drink. If you or someone you know is fighting alcoholism, the free booklet from Lutheran Hour Ministries, Battle with the Bottle, has valuable information to help them find freedom.
